Barcelona monitor Basel star Cabral

Barcelona are considering making a move for Basel star Arthur Cabral, according to GOAL.

The Catalans have been monitoring the Brazilian striker, who has 23 goals from 24 matches in all competitions for the Swiss side.

Ex-Barcelona player Deco, who recently joined the club’s recruitment team, has been talking to the 23-year-old’s agent, while coach Xavi has given the green light to sign him.

Cabral will likely cost between $14-$17 million, but Barca will have to sell some players before they can act on their interest.


Man Utd join Juve, Spurs & Newcastle in Vlahovic pursuit

Manchester United will challenge Juventus, Tottenham and Newcastle to the signing of Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic, reports The Daily Mail.

Juve have made the 21-year-old their top target and are hopeful of signing him in January, though they will have to offload several players before they will be able to afford his salary.

AC Milan, Spurs and Newcastle are all said to be interested, too, but United could swoop in with an offer as they look to bolster their attack.

Le Parisien says the French side are discussing a deal that would see the coach take over ahead of next season, but the schedule could be moved forward as Pochettino is reportedly eager to move to Manchester United.


Conte ‘wants Bailly at Spurs’

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is keen on a move for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, according to the Transfer Window Podcast.

Conte was keen to sign Bailly while he was at Inter, and still rates the Ivory Coast center back and wants to bring him to Spurs.

Bailly has been in and out of the team at Old Trafford, although his situation may change after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.


Sevilla target Shakhtar star Mudryk

According to Fichajes, the 20-year-old has impressed Sevilla sporting director Monchi and the Spanish side are plotting a move for him.

The winger is regarded one of Ukraine’s finest talents and has made 15 appearances in all competitions for Shakhtar.


Napoli ask Mertens to take pay cut with new contract

Napoli are looking to sign Dries Mertens to a new contract, but are asking him to accept a lower wage.

The Belgium international’s current deal expires at the end of the season and although the club have an option to extend that for another year, they want him to sign a new deal altogether.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Serie A side cannot afford to keep paying him at his current rate and need him to compromise on his salary.

But the 22-year-old Sottil could find better luck in Spain, as it has been reported on Cadena SER that La Liga side Cadiz are eager to sign him.


Liverpool target Raphinha committed to Leeds
