A week after being sidelined, Nick Saban has given the Alabama QB reins back to Jalen Milroe
1 min readQuarterback Jalen Milroe didn’t play in Alabama’s 17-3 win over South Florida this past weekend. Perhaps non-coincidentally, the Crimson Tide looked disjointed on offense as head coach Nick Saban gave shots to both Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner and redshirt freshman Ty Simpson.
Milroe was sidelined by Saban for the USF game, presumably because he didn’t look great in the Week 2 loss to Texas. That didn’t stop the redshirt sophomore from cheering his teammates on in big moments, though.
Apparently that, plus his leadership and attitude after the benching, was enough to win back his head coach.
