The ‘1,000 receiving yards as a rookie’ quiz

Last season, as a rookie, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase tore up the NFL to the tune of 81 catches for 1,455 yards to go along with a whopping 13 touchdowns. His renewed chemistry with college teammate Joe Burrow was a big reason why the franchise made it back to the Super Bowl for the first time in over three decades. If opponents were tired of having to game-plan for Chase in year one, the Bengals have bad news for their foes in year two. A recent report has Cincy hoping to utilize Chase in a Deebo Samuel-type role. « He’s going to be all over the field, » said Cincinnati receiver coach Troy Walters. « We’re going to use him in as many ways as we can. He’s a quick learner. That’s what great players want to do. They want to play everywhere. They understand the value of moving around and how you stress defenses sometimes in the slot. You don’t want defenses to focus on you. He’s embraced that challenge. Just find a way to create mismatches.” Good luck to all the defensive backs in the AFC North. You’re going to need it.

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In NFL history, 27 players have totaled 1,000 or more receiving yards in their first season in the league, including Chase, who had the second most yards ever as a rookie. So with that in mind, how many of the 27 can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
