Lamar Jackson reveals person who told him to take down vulgar tweet

It wasn’t head coach John Harbaugh , general manager Eric DeCosta or any other member of the Baltimore Ravens who convinced Lamar Jackson to remove his vulgar tweet bashing a fan following the team’s Week 12 loss.

After Sunday’s defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars, a Twitter user suggested that the Ravens « Let Lamar walk and spend that money on a well-rounded team, » while tagging the former MVP. This came after Jackson went just 16-for-32 with 254 passing yards and one touchdown but added a team-high 89 rushing yards.

Less than one hour after the fan’s tweet, the Louisville product responded, inappropriately, to say the least. Now, Jackson says, things are all good with the disgruntled fan.

Jackson looked like an early contender for his second MVP in September, posting 12 total touchdowns in the first three games. He’s slowed down considerably with just one multi-touchdown performance in the last eight contests, however.

The 25-year-old has registered a 62.1% completion percentage (his lowest since his rookie season in 2018), with 2,231 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions this season, while adding 111 carries for 755 yards and three scores as well. The Ravens (7-4) host the Denver Broncos (3-8) at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
