How Green Bay is hosting 2025 draft
1 min readWhen Green Bay, Wisconsin was chosen this week during the NFL Annual Meeting as the host city of the 2025 NFL Draft, it was the culmination of 10-plus years of relentless diligence from the Packers front office with some help from Discover Green Bay, the city’s tourism marketing agency.
The team submitted several proposals to host the draft since the event moved from its longstanding home at Radio City Music Hall in 2014. After losing out on the 2022 and 2024 drafts, Green Bay finally won the league over with a bid centered around Titletown, a community park to the west of Lambeau Field, and the Resch Expo Center across the street from the stadium.
« From what the NFL has told us, we are the first NFL team to drive the draft bid process with the league, » Packers VP of marketing and fan engagement Gabrielle Dow said, via the team’s official website. « Due to the small nature of our community and our city, (team president/CEO) Mark (Murphy) knew that we could help (Discover Green Bay CEO) Brad (Toll) and our local community and state get this here.”
