Avaí honors journalist André Podiacki and cameraman Djalma Araújo, victims of the plane crash
In the morning of this Friday (2), the board of Hawaii, through its official website, informed that it will name the booths "Imprensa Escrita" and "Central TV Booth", with the names of the journalist André Podiacki, of the Diário Catarinense, and of the cameraman Djalma Araújo, from RBS TV, victims of the accident that occurred with the plane that took the Chapecoense delegation to the final of the Copa Sudamericana, against Atlético Nacional, from Colombia, at dawn last Tuesday (29). The locations will be renamed “André Podiacki Written Press Booth”, and “Djalma Araújo TV Central Booth”.
According to Leão, the tribute was given by the fact that "the booths that start to receive their names, were their workplaces in Ressacada". André Podiacki and Djalma Araújo were victims of the aerial tragedy in Colombia on November 29 and were part of the daily training and game routine of Avaí Futebol Clube. The booths that are named after them, were their workplaces in Ressacada.
