With relegation from Bragantino, Paraná will be the team that has been in the B Series for the longest time

I 2017 o Parana Club goes to its tenth season in a row at Series B of the Brazilian Championship. With the relegation of Bragantino in this year's competition, Tricolor is now the club that has been competing for the longest time in the era of racing points.

However, the team from Paraná has had its worst performance since 2008, despite the lack of a round to finish Series B 2020. In that year, Paraná added 49 points to 11th place with 14 victories won. In 2020 there are 10 victories so far, reaching 11 if they beat Tupi-MG - already relegated-, on Friday (25) at 19h15, in Curitiba, in the last game of this season. What is already known is that Tricolor will end its participation in 15th place.

Paraná's best participation in Serie B in the era of run points was in 2013, when it came in 8th place in the standings with 57 points, just three of the G4. The record holder for participation in the Second Division is Ceará, which has been in the competition for 28 times, 15 years in a row, from 1994 to 2009.

This season, Tricolor lived with crises on and off the field, with three dismissed technicians (Claudinei Oliveira, Marcelo Martelotte and Roberto Fernandes). Now, the club is being led by assistant Fernando Miguel, while the Board of Directors is already planning for next year.
