With health problems, midfielder Renanzinho, from Avaí, is going through a delicate situation

On the afternoon of last Monday (21), the president of the Hawaii, Francisco José Battistotti, held a press conference to speak openly about the case of the wheel Renan, better known as Renanzinho, 19, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The athlete had been undergoing treatments in recent months, and the board decided to explain his situation better.

According to the Avian official, the player has been receiving all the support of the club. ”Avaí is a family. When I received the call from Dr. Funchal, we talked and understood that being a family, we need to give all the support so that the boy can have the opportunity to recover, ”he said. ”We take over the rent for the apartment where the family lives. We also have a VeroLife partnership that is covering part of the treatment. Everything that the health plan does not cover, we are helping ”, he added.

The club's medical director, Dr Luis Fernando Funchal, explained the athlete's profile in more detail. ”We consulted specialists to take care of Renanzinho. We performed the removal of 70% of the tumor and the rest are going to go to secondary treatment with radiotherapy and chemotherapy ”, he explained. "We will now wait for the athlete's biological question to know how his recovery will be", concluded the professional.

Born in Ariquemes (RO) and from the Avian base, the midfielder became professional at the club in 2015, when he wore the blue and white jersey on 29 occasions. The last time the athlete played for Leão was on May 3 this year, in the first leg between Bragantino and Avaí, valid for the second phase of the Copa do Brasil.

To assist the player's family, the Azurra team will donate all the net income from the duel against Brasil-RS, next Saturday (26), at 17:30, at Estádio da Ressacada, in Florianópolis, for the last round of the B series. Entries will cost R $ 20 (whole) and R $ 10 (half), for any sector of the stadium, and R $ 40 (whole) and R $ 20 (half), for the VIP area, in addition, children under 12 years do not pay.
