O Atlético Paranaense had an important victory last Sunday (22), beating Sport 2-0 at Arena da Baixada. Hurricane still gained a position after the 36th round of the Brazilian championship, rising to fifth place with 55 points. With two rounds to go, the team faces Corinthians - in a direct duel for the G6, he is in 7th with 54 points-, and Flamengo.

To forward the classification to Liberators, Atlético need a good result in São Paulo. Striker Pablo highlighted how the team should face the match, with a spirit of decision. “We are going to take this game as a decision. We know that he is a direct opponent, in the fight for our goal for a place in the Libertadores. I think it's the most important game of the year for us. If we win the match, we have a great chance of qualifying for the 2017 Libertadores. We know it is a decision ”.

Rubro-negro can guarantee the advance spot if they win against Corinthians, since if Grêmio wins the Copa do Brasil and is in the top six, the G-6 becomes G-7. But, Hurricane will have to overcome a negative record as a visitor, they are only eight points in 18 games, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 14 losses. Pablo said Atlético need only think about victory, and that a draw could leave the team in a difficult situation for the last round. “We cannot think about a tie. Of course it is a point, which does not change much in the table and continues with the distance. But we have to go in search of victory, play our game looking for three points. It will be a very difficult game, of course, but we have to think about victory ”.

Atlético will face Corinthians next Saturday (26th), at 9 pm, at Arena Corinthians, in São Paulo. The last round, against Flamengo, will be at the Arena da Baixada, scheduled for Sunday (3), at 17h.
