O Marcílio Dias lost another match for Second Catarinense. On Monday (17), at the close of the 5th round, rubro-anil lost to lanterna Porto away from home by 2 to 0, exhausting the chances of returning to the elite of Catarinense. Stagnant in eighth place with 15 points, Marcílio continues without winning in the return.

Now, the Sailor’s goal is to finish the competition in the best possible way and “fix the deck”. The new board, which took over the club last Sunday (16), already promotes changes to organize the club and start planning for the next season.

In a text published on the club's social networks, called “Manifesto of Resumption”, the board exposed the delicate situation in which the club finds itself, talking about the sacrifices they would face during the renovation, but showing themselves willing to change the situation and calling cheered for the games that remain for the Second.

Six athletes are dismissed

The club has officially commented on the dismissal of six athletes. According to the note published on Marcílio Dias' official website, the dismissal was made due to expenditure restraint and planned by the old board. The athletes dismissed so far were: Beto, Fernando Salvan, Paulinho, Pelezinho, Toni and Zé Carlos.

“Clube Náutico Marcílio Dias, through its new Executive Board, comes through this to communicate about the dismissal of athletes from the current cast.

We inform that the previous Executive handed over the Club last Saturday (10/15), at 1:30 pm, and that the inauguration of the new president Lucas Brunet and his deputy Mauro Pereira occurred on Sunday, at 2 pm.

The new Executive found the situation of dismissal of six athletes from the group of players, due to expenditure restraint, already carried out by the old board. They are: Paulinho, Beto, Zé Carlos, Toni, Pelezinho and Fernando Salvan. They were not part of the plans for the match that took place on Monday, against Porto.

After conversations between the new Executive and the squad, part of the athletes preferred not to remain in the Club, and another part decided to stay, travel to Porto União and continue acting in the rest of the Santa Catarina Championship. The new Executive Board respects the decisions made.

The Executive now works in the best way so that the financial commitments and issues of delays that were occurring, within its current possibilities, are settled, and that all the workers of the Club will have their rights respected.
