Without any embezzlement and being able to repeat the same lineup as the first match, the Foz do Iguaçu Futebol Clube traveled this Saturday (24) to Ponta Grossa, where this Sunday (25), at 11.05 am, he faces the Railway Worker, at the Germano Krüger Stadium, for the return match of the semifinals of Paraná Football Federation Cup (FPF) Sub-23.

In the first match, played last Sunday (18), at Estádio do ABC, in Foz, the result was a 0-0 draw. This means that a new draw in Campos Gerais, by any score, will take the decision of the vacancy to the final for penalties. Whoever wins by any score, gets the vacancy. The FPF Cup champion guarantees the chance to compete in the Series D of the Brazilian Championshipin 2017.

The two teams had very different campaigns in the first phase of the competition. Foz failed to win any of the six games it played, having four draws and two defeats, still ranking in fifth place. In the quarterfinals he eliminated Grêmio Maringá with two victories, 4 to 0 at home and 2 to 1 away. The Ghost was undefeated in the first phase, with five wins and a draw. Having made the best campaign, he went straight to the semifinals, since the competition with seven teams, would not be able to face the eighth place in the quarterfinals.

The board of Boundary Bluebird approved the performance of the team coached by Ivan Carlos Alves in the first leg. “We had a good start against a quality opponent. We missed some goal opportunities, but that is part of football, ”said manager Arif Osman.

Worker changes

The Operário team will have three right absences for Sunday's game, the right-back Raí Ramos is still recovering from an injury to the posterior muscle of his left thigh and has no playing condition. Besides him, midfielder Willian Daltro and striker Chico will also not participate in the confrontation, both were sent off in the first leg in Foz. As if that weren't enough, midfielder Dione is doubtful for not being 100% recovered.

Coach Gerson Gusmão, who also will not be able to lead the team on the edge of the lawn on Sunday, for having been expelled, will continue with Luiz Grando on the right side. In the middle, Paulinho must pair with Thalles. In the attack, Cristian and Vandinho compete for a place in the starting lineup, in place of the expelled Chico. Murilo must be the frame man, in case Dione is unable to play.
