In a “life or death” game, Maringá faces Caxias away from home

O Maringá Futebol Clube bets his last chips in the match tomorrow (10), valid for the fifth round of group A17 of the Brazilian Championship of Series D against the Caxias (RS). After the layoffs promoted this past week, coach Indio will have difficulties to compose the starting lineup. Without many options for tactical alternations, Maringá will take to the field with the best in the squad.

Defender Wesley (suspended) and striker Vinicius (muscle injury) are without excuses and did not even travel with the delegation, which headed towards Caxias do Sul on Saturday morning (09). In addition to these, the right-back Rhuan and midfielder Max (who had been acting as starters) will be replaced after the dismissals made by the board. Coach Índio made several changes to the team, including the tactical system - now playing in 4-4-2.

The expectation is that Maringá will enter the field with Ari on the right-back, contracted Wellington in midfield and perhaps Makanaki composing the attacking duo with Neílson, who won the title in the team after Vinicius' injury. The midfielder Russian was kept as one of the team leaders. Experienced and passing by the team in 2013, Russo should act in front of the defense.

With 4 points in 4 games played, Zebra occupies the spotlight of his group, losing on goal difference to Metropolitano (SC). A victory makes Maringá surpass Caxias in the classification, reaching 7 points. The defeat makes it even more difficult for the team, who will play the last match of the first phase against Ituano (SP) at home.

Caxias should come with maximum strength. Contrary to the match played at Willie Davids when he lost 3-0, when coach Beto Campos used the reserves, the grená must act with the starters, since he leads the final quadrangle of the Access Division of the Gaúcho Championship. Practically guaranteed in the first division in 2017, the team from Serra Gaúcha needs victory, which would bring tranquility to the squad for the last match against Metropolitano (SC).

The game between Caxias and Maringá will be broadcast by TV Brazil this Sunday, at 16:30, directly from the Centenário Stadium in Caxias do Sul (RS). Tickets are being sold at R $ 20 (full price) and R $ 10 (half price).
