On the cold morning in Curitiba, the game started hot in Vila Capanema. In the 2nd minute, Paraná led FC Cascavel's goal for the first time. Nadson received in the middle and from outside the area risked the shot, which ended up passing close to the goal. At 9, Válber put the ball between the legs of defender Denner and suffered a lack of entry from the area. Nadson went for the kick and the ball deflected on the barrier and was lost by the end line.

At 12 minutes, Jean took the free kick placed looking for the left angle of the goalkeeper, the ball hit the advertising board and returned to the nets outside, deceiving the paranista crowd that even screamed a goal in the stands. At 15, FC Cascavel descended for the first time to attack with Morato, who inside the area brought to the left penalty and sent low, Marcos well placed made the defense.

Even away from home, Serpente played on equal terms with Paraná and Léo Maringá ended up missing near the area on 23 minutes. He even took the lead and the ball went to Marcos' left. Then the game dropped and the two teams created little in order to take the zero from the scoreboard in the first stage.

First he received from Válber in the area and left-handed he sent him through the nets outside. It looked like a replay, and at 30 the striker received in the same position, only this time he sent a little further away from the goal.

In the 35th minute, in the corner taken by Válber, Alisson swerved and Robson sent a weak header to Vinicius' defense. At 38, the number 11 Paranista invaded the area and left-handed sent a low shot in the left corner of the goalkeeper, but out of the goal. Tricolor had its last chance in additions.
