Losing a rout, Nacional bid farewell to the elite of Paraná
In the last round of the Descenso Tournament of Campeonato Paranaense 2015, the National did precisely the only thing he couldn't: he lost to the Atlético Paranaense. The match held at the Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba, on Saturday (02), ended with a 5-0 victory atleticana and the relegation of Rolândia's team to the B series of the state.
With the reserve team on the field, the Hurricane, which was already guaranteed in the state elite for next year, confirmed the victory in the first stage, scoring three goals. Nacional had good chances at the beginning of the match, but when they conceded the first goal, at 13 'by Crysan, and the second, at 15' by Breno, he lost strength to attack the opponent. At 45 'in the first half there was still the third goal, scored by Nikão.
The complementary stage happened with the two teams more contained and not as offensive as in the first stage. At 19 ’Rafinha increased the score for Atlético, and at 47’ Crysan scored his second and fifth for Hurricane in the match, signaling the rout and relegation of Nacional.
Nacional tried to fight, but failed to escape relegation
With only 12% of success in the first phase of the championship, and 44% in Descenso, Nacional ended the competition in the penultimate place, being relegated together with Prudentópolis to the Second Division 2020. The defeat for Atlético, allied to the victory of Rio White over Prudentópolis by 1 to 0, was enough to nullify the chances of remaining in the elite of Paraná, decided by the goal difference, since the score of 8 points in the descent - with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses - was the same Rio Branco, runner-up.
During the competition, there were three technicians in charge of the team: Rafael Andrade, Dirceu Mattos and Gilberto Papagaio. The difficult mission of putting the team in the championship was not achieved, and the classification for next year did not come. During the championship, 12 points were won, with 3 wins, 3 draws and 11 wins, in the 17 games played.
The last time that Nacional remained in the elite for more than a year was in 2009, when it won the unprecedented third place, and in 2010, when it ended up being demoted. Since then, the team has been in transaction between the two divisions, looking for their fixed space in the state's first division. Thus, next year NAC will compete, as well as Prude, for the Second Division of the Paraná Championship, dreaming of returning to Serie A.
