23 Easter eggs hiding in ‘NBA Lane’ Christmas holiday

In advance of the NBA’s annual Christmas Day slate of five highly-anticipated games, the league premiered the latest iteration of its “NBA Lane” campaign – “Family Dinner on NBA Lane”, streaming now across @NBA social platforms and on NBA.com/75.

Narrated by Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actor, host and Anthony Anderson, the spot brings together Billy Crystal, Quavo, Paul Gasol, Sue Bird, Dominique Wilkins and other NBA legends, mascots and superfans with connections to all 10 teams playing on Christmas Day.

The crew shares a holiday meal on NBA Lane as they prepare to spend the day with NBA. 

Guests at the “Family Dinner on NBA Lane” include:

  • ATL: Quavo (Grammy-nominated rapper), Dominique Wilkins (NBA legend)
  • BKN: Naiya (“Sam”, the fan featured in the original “NBA Lane” film)
  • BOS: Robert Parish (NBA legend)
  • DAL: Shawn Marion (NBA legend)
  • GSW: Baron Davis (NBA legend)
  • LAL: Pau Gasol (NBA legend)
  • MIL: Bango the Buck
  • NYK: Desus Nice and That Kid Mero (Showtime’s Desus and Mero)
  • PHX: Mr. ORNG (Phoenix Suns superfan)
  • UTA: Jazz Bear (The Inflatable)
  • Also featured: Sue Bird (Seattle Storm), Billy Crystal (Emmy Award-winning comedian, actor, producer, writer and director)

• Reappearance of the NBA Lane street sign

• NBA Snowman wearing a 75th-anniversary snapback

• Inflatable Jazz Bear greeting us from the balcony

• The NBA Lane Hoop Bus makes a comeback in toy form

• The home’s Christmas tree is decked out with unique NBA ornaments

• A Shaq cutout, inspired by MJ’s “Home Alone” scene, greets us by the front door

• All the home’s family portraits display members of the NBA family

• The jingles on the toy hoop in the piano room are in honour of the iconic Jingle Hoops spot from the NBA

• Desus & Mero come bearing gifts: A KNICKSTAPE and an iconic NYC deli bodega bag

As the league continues its 75th Anniversary Season celebration, NBA.com/75 will expand its content offerings next week to include a curated look at every member of the 75th Anniv2ersary Team, which incorporates unique content from NBA TV, including video of current NBA players and fellow NBA legends sharing stories about members of team.
